About Me
Hello! I'm Abby Sale, Life Long Horse Trainer
I have had a strong passion for horses from an early age. Growing up on Orcas Island I
participated in the local horse 4 h program from 11 to 18. I had the opportunity to work with a
local trainer and get on a variety of horses from quarter horses and Arabs to Tennessee walking
horses and icelandic ponies.
After high-school I attended Heartland Horseshoeing school in Missouri with the goal of being
able to provide my horses with quality foot care no matter where life took us. From there I
worked in the horse and cattle industry from working ranches to packaging hunters into the
mountains.
I had the opportunity to expand my skills by traveling to Florida to groom for an
Olympic hopeful trying for a spot on the U.S dressage team. Upon returning to the pacific
northwest and the working ranches I dug into starting unhandled colts and a few mustangs.

In August of 2021 I returned to my hometown of Eastsound Washington and opened Offshore
Equine. I have a great passion for quality care and am planning to open the barn up to
retirement boarding, western performance horses, absentee/offseason boarding in the coming months. I also offer training, colt starting, halter breaking,
consignment and hauling in the Islands and beyond.
